Louisiana State University (LSU) and Clemson faced off in the college football national title game.
The game was attended by President Trump and the first lady Melania Trump.
As the president and first lady entered onto the field of the New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Dome, they were greeted with robust applause.
Crowds cheered for Trump calling out “USA, USA” and “Four more years.”
LSU (1) defeated Clemson (3) with a score of 42 to 25.
From Washington Examiner:

Trump and the first lady have had some unflattering entrances to big games in the past, including being booed during a World Series game at the Washington Nationals’ stadium last fall.
Several players on the team made up for the poor welcome the president during their visit to the White House after the series, including catcher Kurt Suzuki, who put on a MAGA hat for the visit.
The president has had better luck receiving a friendly welcome at college football games.
Trump received a similarly boisterous round of applause at last year’s Army-Navy football game, though he did receive some boos during the 2018 national championship game.
