Former President Trump thanked the Washington DC Young Republicans for exposing Hannah Fraher, a top aide to House Speaker Mike Johnson, as a “never Trumper” who opposed the club’s endorsement of Trump.
Emails revealed Fraher’s objections to the endorsement.
The DCYR said they appreciate Trump’s support and look forward to working with him when he returns to power in 2025.

“Thank you for your great support,” Trump wrote. “Very much appreciated! Will not forget.”
“We are very grateful for President Trump’s backup and his kind words of support,” the DCYR Executive Board stated. “It is not easy to expose the DC Swamp, but we will do it every time. We completely stand by our endorsement of President Trump and don’t care how many RINOs are upset by that.
“We look forward to continuing our great relationship with him and his administration when he returns to power after the 2024 election,” they added.
They endorsed Trump in 2023 despite establishment figures backing Ron DeSantis.
After America First members reshaped the club, emphasizing Trump’s agenda, membership grew 50%.
“The DCYRS is easily the fastest-growing in both numbers and influence among the YR clubs that have fully embraced and committed to President Trump’s America First agenda,” DCYR member Vish Burra said. “I expect them to be major players when President Trump inevitably returns to the White House in January 2025.”
