Former President Donald Trump suggested in an interview with Nigel Farage that Prince Harry could face deportation from the US if Trump were re-elected.

Trump criticized Harry and Meghan for disrespecting the royal family and breaking the late Queen’s heart.

“Although she wouldn’t show it because she was strong and smart, but I would imagine they broke her heart,” Trump said of the Queen.

He said there should be “no preferential treatment” for Harry.

“The things that they were saying were so bad and so horrible, and she was in her 90s and hearing this stuff. I think they broke her heart,” he said.

Regarding Harry’s past admission of drug use, Trump said, “if they know something about the drugs and if he lied, I’ll have to take appropriate action.”

Under US immigration law, past drug use can affect admissibility and be grounds for deportation.

Trump hinted he could take action to not allow Harry to stay in America due to his drug history.

However, deporting Harry would depend on the specifics of US laws around admitting individuals with controlled substance offenses or admissions.

“If they know something about the drugs and if he lied, I’ll have to take appropriate action,” Trump said.

Trump was critical of Harry and Meghan’s treatment of the royal family and floated the idea of deporting Harry from the US over his acknowledged past drug use.

“You would have thought they would have known this a long time ago. You would,” Trump said. “But I thought they were very disrespectful to the family, to the royal family. I’m a big fan of the concept of the royal family and the royal family.”

“Now, I’m a little prejudiced because I thought the queen was incredible. I mean, think of it, all those years, 75 years, she’s almost never made a mistake. It’s almost unbelievable.”
