Cleveland resident Joseph Findley, a 43-year-old who lives with his parents, is the top suspect in an alleged terrorist plot to cause train derailments in Ohio.

CSX train staff found metal strategically placed among rail switches on multiple different occasions, ultimately leading to a crime case that ended with law enforcement showing up to Findley’s home.

The suspect allegedly came close to causing a train wreck this summer, when a train was derailed due to objects that had been intentionally placed on the tracks, before bouncing back on track. (Trending: US Forces Attacked By Suicide Drones)

“He’s never been a bad kid, never, he was always good. He’s no terrorist, somebody’s making that up,” Findley’s mother stated.

“Being depressed, because he lost his job, he lost his girlfriend, but he never did anything like that,” she added. “They’re nuts, he’s not a terrorist. I think they all exaggerated it because he never did anything bad.”

“The objects and their specific placement indicate knowledge of how the tracks and the switch operate, as well as how to disrupt these normal operations,” the law enforcement wrote of the crime. (Trending: Devastating New Poll For Joe Biden)

“Over the next few days, CSX work crews reported several pieces of debris were placed on the tracks further east of the switch,” the criminal complaint added.

“This debris consisted of two fiberglass panels and various pieces of track material, including tie plates and spikes.”

Findley was ultimately caught on trail cameras, and police found hime at his home days later, where they successfully matched his clothing with that of the images, along with clear trail camera photos that matched his face.
