A pair of Democrats in Florida are in hot water as the FBI conducted a raid over leaked materials from Fox News involving Tucker Carlson.

The target of the raid was Tampa City Council member Lynn Hurtak and her husband, media consultant Tim Burke.

Left-wing activists are accused of illegally releasing of off-camera tapes that would expose and destroy Tucker Carlson’s career.

The plan quickly backfired as the tapes reveal Carlson is a completely normal — and hilarious — guy. The tapes show him joking with assistants and others in the newsroom.

The tapes were published online with help from the leftist organization Media Matters.

In one tape, Carlson complains about liberals infiltrating Fox News and beginning to takeover jobs. “If you’ve got pronouns in your Twitter bio, you shouldn’t work here,” Carlson says. Watch the clip:

Conservative critics have wondered on social media whether Fox News played any role in leaking the tapes to damage Carlson’s career. It appears that Fox News is cooperating with authorities to find the culprit.

As per the Tampa Bay Times, Burke has been employed by left-leaning news organizations such as Deadspin and The Daily Beast. Burke chose not to respond to the Times’ inquiry.

The Daily Beast reported that prosecutors have requested the court to seal the probable cause affidavit that led to the search of Burke’s residence.

Greg Gutfeld spoke out to defend his former coworker over his casual off-camera remarks. In one clip, Carlson jokingly asks his makeup artist if “pillow fights ever break out” in the women’s bathroom.

Gutfeld explained, “Imagine having to tell your parents that your job is narcing on the casual comments of other people while they, happily unaware, make a living,”

“Your parents would be so embarrassed and ashamed they’d rather tell their friends you died in a fire,” he continued.

Gutfeld responded, “Apparently everyone understands nonsense banter between segments except for hall monitor failures bitterly chronicling the lives of the far more successful.”

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly also slammed the leaked clips.

“Fox News is suffering what could fairly be called a bloodbath at eight o’clock and now their entire primetime is suffering as a result of it as viewers’ anger escalates to exponential levels in the wake of this unfair treatment of their number one star,” Kelly said.

“This is absurd. OK, this is absurd,” she added.

“This is a destruction campaign and the media is going along with it without one thought for how they’re participating in what is an internal work dispute, allowing themselves to be used as tools of Irena Briganti who runs the Fox evil communications department and her bosses who are clearly allowing all of this.”
