The New York Times recently lost its blue checkmark and its official Twitter verification by refusing to pay the $8 monthly fee required by CEO Elon Musk.

Musk demolished the outlet by calling it “unreadable” and “the equivalent of diarrhea.”

“Oh ok, we’ll take it off then,” Musk said, referring to Twitter’s decision to remove the NY Times’ checkmark.

“The real tragedy of the NY Times is that their propaganda isn’t even interesting,” Musk added.

“They would have far more real followers if they only posted their top articles,” Musk said.

The New York Times previously had a yellow check mark next to its Twitter account to signify its authenticity.

The newspaper has come under fire in recent decades following accusation of blatant liberal bias.

Vehemently anti-Trump reporters and “woke” editors allegedly run the operation, which has caused many readers to abandon their subscriptions.

Twitter announced, “On April 1st, we will begin winding down our legacy verified program and removing legacy verified checkmarks. To keep your blue checkmark on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue.”

The White House also confirmed that it will not pay to be verified as an organization on Twitter.

The Biden administration also will not reimburse staff who purchase Twitter Blue on their personal social media accounts.\

NBA star and liberal social activist LeBron James also said he won’t pay the verification fee.

James tweeted, “Welp guess my blue check will be gone soon cause if you know me I ain’t paying the 5.” James is also misinformed because the fee is actually $8, and not $5.
