Awkward: Influx of Illegal Immigrants Causes Sanctuary State of Colorado To Begin Busing Them to Sanctuary NYC

The sanctuary state of Colorado has more people crossing the border than it can provide services for.

As a result, they have been them to another sanctuary jurisdiction, New York City.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been sending both border crossers and illegal aliens to the sanctuary cities of New York, Chicago, and Washington, DC. He has been trying to lower his increasing costs of giving support to them as they arrive.

New Yorkers may have a bill of $600 million to provide them with public services, housing, and education.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said, “We were notified yesterday that the governor of Colorado is now stating that they are going to be sending migrants to places like New York and Chicago.”

Adams continued, “This is just unfair for local governments to have to take on this national obligation.”

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock declared a state of emergency when the border crossers and illegal aliens began to arrive last month.

Hancock and Colorado Gov. Jared Polis believe they are helping in getting the people to their final sanctuary place.

The effort to protect illegal aliens is not working. The cost is great in terms of money. Transporting border crossers and illegal aliens from one place to another could harm individuals.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D), a fierce proponent of the state’s sanctuary state policy, said last month that the constant flow of illegal immigration to the United States is particularly a “burden” to his state and causing “budgetary pressures.”
