At that time, Harry and Megan were traveling to the UK where Megan gave a speech about gender equality at the One Young World 2022 Summit in Manchester.

Meghan’s message was “it’s your time now.” Markle said, “The important work can’t wait for tomorrow, and this week the world is watching as you cement your place in history by showcasing the good you are doing today.”

“Good Morning Britain” co-host Susanna Reid suggested that Markle was “over at the moment” because she “took exception to be called a diva by Mariah Carey” on her “Archetypes” podcast.

“Oh, really?” Collins said. “I think it’s rather nice to be called a diva, now and again. I mean, it’s supposed to be a compliment.”

In the episode, Markle told Carey, 53, that she does not personally “connect to” the “diva … persona,” to which she responded, “You give us diva moments sometimes, Meghan. Don’t act like [you don’t].”

“What kind of diva moments did I give you?” the actress asked.

Carey then clarified that she was referring to Markle’s “visual[s]” and not her personality, noting she “didn’t mean” anything by the remark.

The “We Belong Together” singer doubled down on her explanation, later tweeting that she meant the comment in an “empowering” way.

“Yes! I called her a diva, in the most fabulous, gorgeous, and empowering meaning of the word!!!” Carey wrote.
