Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) criticized an advertisement for a “demonic” new television series, which is owned by Disney. The ad features a main character that is the Antichrist.

“I couldn’t get to the remote fast enough to shield my 11-year-old from the preview, and I wonder how many other children were exposed to it — and how many millions more will tune in to the new series, owned and marketed by DISNEY,” Johnson wrote on Facebook.

“The trailer included dark images of Hell, demons, and satanic imagery, and an explanation that the main character is… the Antichrist(!),” he added.

Johnson went on to warn parents about the show.

In addition to the congressman, over one million moms have set a petition in action urging Disney to cancel the series.

The “Little Demon” series includes Danny DeVito as the voice of Satan. He is also an executive producer of the show. His daughter, Lucy DeVito, also serving as an executive producer, is the voice of Chrissy Feinberg, described as the “Antichrist daughter.”

A Variety review offered a different perspective on the early episodes of the controversial series.

“Created and written by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla, ‘Little Demon’ isn’t just a TV-MA excuse to have animated nudity and graphic gore — though that is very much present,” it noted. “It’s a story about puberty and growing up, as well as adjusting to being part of an atypical family.”
