‘Woke’ Former NBA Coach Says Trump’s Actions on Jan. 6 Are Worse Than Record-High Inflation

Stan Van Gundy is widely known as a former NBA coach as well as a sports commentator on TNT.

The “woke” leftist recently used his social platform to repeat a false and defamatory claim that President Donald Trump “incited an attack on the U.S Capitol” and “tried to overthrow the results of an election.”

Gundy said Trump’s alleged actions were even worse than the record-high inflation that currently wreaks havoc on the U.S. economy as many Americans are unable to afford basic necessities like gas and groceries.

“I can’t believe this would be a controversial statement, but it will be — inflation is not as big a problem as a U.S. President trying to overthrow the results of an election and inciting an attack on the U.S. Capitol,” Gundy tweeted.

The only problem for Gundy is that the FBI has already shot down this false claim.

Citing the FBI officials, an exclusive Reuters report has already shot down this theory.

On the contrary, there is strong evidence that roughly 96% of cases were “one-off incidents” and only 4% could be tied to various militia-type groups. These groups were still not centrally coordinated.

“The FBI has so far found no evidence that he [President Trump] or people directly around him were involved in organizing the violence, according to the four current and former law enforcement officials,” FBI officials told Reuters.

“FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump,” the report adds.

As the cost of living jumps to all-time highs for Americans, Van Gundy believes that the inescapable effect of inflation pales in comparison to liberals’ key focus on January 6, coincidentally as Republicans look to pounce on Democrats in November.

Van Gundy also made sure to note that Biden’s leadership has been superior to former President Trump’s influence and effect, with scant evidence to show for it.

“Left unchecked the threat to our democracy will affect every facet of every American’s life,” Van Gundy added.

With Del Rio getting fined $100K by the Washington Commanders, will Van Gundy be charged a fine by TNT for his debated comments?

Probably not.
