During a press conference in Warsaw, Poland, Vice President Kamala Harris burst into inappropriate laughter after being asked a serious question on the Russia-Ukraine war.
As Mockarena of Chicks On The Right commented on the video: “Our VP Is Useless And If You STILL Need Proof, Here You Go.”
Standing alongside Poland’s President Andrzej Duda in in Warsaw, Poland, Harris was asked about the difficult refugee crisis in Europe right now.
She was also asked what the US is doing to help given there is no infrastructure to sustain refugees for more than two weeks or so. Harris oddly breaks into laughter, which is followed by a strange joke about “a friend in need is a friend indeed.”
Her answer begins around the 40-second mark. Watch the clip:
Harris did go on to answer the question. However, besides noting that the US wouldn’t send Ukrainians back into a warzone whose visas were expiring, she didn’t give much else concrete other than saying we would support Poland.
The vice president has recently come under fire by critics in the U.S. for the crisis at the southern border.
Harris, who once achieved the lowest approval rating for any vice president in history at 28 percent, told American that they “got what they asked for” by voting for her and Biden.
“Elections matter,” she began. “And when folks vote, they order what they want. And in this case, they got what they asked for,” she added. “I went off script a little bit.” Watch the clip:

Social media responded quickly to Harris.
Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said, “The American people didn’t ask for any of this,” and then listed “Record Inflation, Record border crisis, Closed schools, A war on American energy, Afghanistan disaster, and Russia invasion of Ukraine.”
The American people didn’t ask for any of this:
Record Inflation
Record border crisis
Closed schools
A war on American energy
Afghanistan disaster
Russia invasion of Ukraine https://t.co/hahTDoG2rC— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) February 28, 2022
Here are some other responses:
Yes, elections do matter! And in November, we’ll see that no one asked for the Democrats’ soaring inflation, closed schools & masked kids, record crime, or war on American energy. It’ll be a referendum on Biden’s complete and total failure. https://t.co/7o7HIVOqdN

“Biden has a 37% approval rating in the recent ABC poll. People didn’t ask for this. She is a terrible politician,” former Trump 2020 campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh wrote.
