Experts are weighing in on the final autopsy report of comedian Bob Saget who was found dead in his hotel room in Florida.

Saget died of blunt head trauma to the back of his head. Authorities say that Saget “accidentally hit the back of his head on something.” Thinking nothing of it, Saget went to sleep, according to authorities.

There were no drugs or alcohol involved. He did not die of cardiac-related issues, which was widely suspected.

Experts argue that this autopsy report raises more questions than it answers.

After allegedly falling and suffering multiple skull fractures that caused hemorrhaging near his brain, Saget proceed to lay down in bed and go to sleep.

CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who is a neurosurgeon, responded, “I think what it reveals more than anything else is that this was not a sort of simple bump on the head.”

“When you read this autopsy report, that may still be the case, but it was a very significant blow to the head,” Gupta continued.

The skull fractures were extensive enough to stretch from the back of Saget’s head around to his right temporal bone.

There were additional fractures on the front of his skull as well.

“In order to do that — when I first saw this, if I knew nothing else about what had happened, you would think that maybe this was someone who had fallen down the stairs and had several impacts to the head or been unrestrained in a car accident,” Gupta said. “I mean, it was that degree of force.”

“Whatever happened here, I mean we may never know the exact — like how he fell or what happened, but it was a significant blow that caused that, and likely the bleeding on top of the brain … sadly, led to him becoming unconscious and then dying,” he concluded.

“In the weeks since Bob’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful,” the family said in a statement.

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us.”

“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter,” the statement concluded.

The Orange County Medical Examiner’s office said, “In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, histology, and a respiratory pathogen panel, it is my opinion that the death of Mr. Saget, was the result of blunt head trauma. His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall.”

“A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins. The manner of death is accident,” the statement said. “Our condolences go out to Mr. Saget’s loved ones during this difficult time.”

“All testing and further studies have been completed,” the office noted.

In a final text message, Saget told his daughter, “Thank u. Love u. Showtime!”

Saget sent the message before he took the stage at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall near Jacksonville, FL.
