Whoopi Goldberg Says the Unthinkable About the Holocaust: It Wasn’t About Race, ‘Two White Groups’

Just when you thought Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t get any dumber, she goes and says something like this.

On the left-wing show “The View” on ABC, Goldberg falsely claimed the Holocaust was “not about race,” adding that “these are two white groups of people.”

Fortunately, the co-hosts of “The View” instantly disagreed. Joy Behar said, “Well, they considered Jews a different race.” Goldberg proceeded to double-down on her ignorant remarks and showed America exactly her stunning level of historical illiteracy.

Goldberg, who once said communism is “a great concept” that “makes perfect sense,” said, “The Holocaust isn’t about race.”

She went on to claim the systematic killing of an estimated six million Jews was “about man’s inhumanity to man, that’s what it’s about.”

Co-host Ana Navarro chimed in, “But it’s about a White supremacist going after Jews and Gypsies.”

“But these are two White groups of people,” Goldberg said as her colleagues disagreed.

“You’re missing the point,” Goldberg insisted.

“The minute you turn it into race, it goes down this alley. Let’s talk about it for what it is. It’s how people treat each other. It’s a problem. It doesn’t matter if you’re Black, or White, cause Black ,White, Jews, Italians, everybody eats each other.”

After these awful comments, Goldberg is trying to backtrack.

“Yesterday on our show, I misspoke,” she began.

“And I tweeted about it last night but I kind of want you to hear it from me directly. I said something that I feel a responsibility for not leaving unexamined because my words upset so many people, which was never my intention.”

“And I understand why now, and for that, I am deeply, deeply grateful because the information I got was really helpful and helped me understand some different things.”

“I said that the Holocaust was ‘not about race’ and was instead about man’s inhumanity to man,” she continued, adding, “But it is indeed about race, because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race. Now, words matter and mine are no exception.”

“I regret my comments, as I said, and I stand corrected. I also stand with the Jewish people as they know, and y’all know, because I’ve always done that.” Watch the clip:
