As Russia and Ukraine are on the brink of war, Joe Biden went on a shopping spree in Washington, D.C.

The left-wing media fawned over Biden’s strange decision to carry around a mug featuring the image of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden has attempted to defend Harris despite widespread criticism over her handling of a number of issues.

Multiple former staffers of Harris have leaked information to CNN about her “entrenched dysfunction and lack of focus.”

Biden went so far as to put on a full display of admiration for Harris during a Democratic event.

“Hi, Kamala. I love you,” Biden said. “You always have my back. You’re really amazing,” he continued. “You’re the best partner I could imagine.”

Here’s Biden during his recent visit to Honey Made, a small business in Washington, D.C.:

While in the gift shop, reporters asked Biden about Russia’s possible war with Ukraine.

“There would be enormous consequences if he were to go in and invade, as he could,” Biden told reporters.

“If we were to move in with all those forces, it would be the largest invasion since World War II. It would change the world,” he said.

“It would be severe consequences including significant economic consequences.”

More from Western Journal:

Putin has reportedly placed more than 100,000 Russian troops at his country’s border with Ukraine, and so far, Biden has mulled sending 5,000 American troops to North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.

“I’d feel obliged to beef up our presence, NATO’s presence, on the eastern front,” Biden said about the possibility.

“I may be moving some of those troops in the near term just because it takes time,” the president said. He assured reporters that “every one of our NATO allies” are “all on the same page.”

These assurances ring hollow as Biden clearly prioritized this shopping trip — White House press pool dutifully in tow — as a way to revive his image as an empathetic guy among the people.
