A new poll shows President Donald Trump is dominating the field of possible Republicans who are looking to run in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.

Trump received 57 percent of the vote among eight possible candidates listed. The poll was conducted by Harvard CAPS/Harris.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second place, but only garnered 12 percent of the vote.

Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third at 11 percent.

Although Trump has hinted that he may run in 2024, this has not been officially confirmed.

If he does not run, it appears that DeSantis would be the next top choice for Republicans among possible candidates.

Last month, another poll conducted by I&I/TIPP produced a similar result.

It showed that Republicans are most enthusiastic about the prospect of Trump running on the GOP ticket.

Trump is in the lead with 60 percent of Republicans who say they want him on the ticket again. In comparison to Joe Biden, polls show that only 37 percent of Democrats want Biden on the 2024 ticket again.

In second place, Republicans support Ron DeSantis with 11 percent. Former vice president Mike Pence came in third place at 9 percent following by Ted Cruz and Nikki Haley at 3 percent each.

The survey was taken between December 1-4, 2021, among 1,013 registered voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.2 percent.

Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington shared the news to Twitter.

“America will never fail, and we will never allow it to go in the wrong direction. Too many generations of greatness are counting on us,” Trump added. “Enjoy your Thanksgiving knowing that a wonderful future lies ahead!”
