While addressing the nation on the one-year anniversary of January 6th, Joe Biden used the opportunity to attack President Donald Trump.

Biden “took several shots at Trump,” Fox News reports, saying he “created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election.”

Biden also claimed Trump “values power over principle” and “sees his own interest as more important than America’s interest.”

He added that Trump’s ego is “bruised” and this “matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution.”

Trump quickly fired back, saying Biden “used my name today to try to further divide America.”

“This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed,” Trump continued.

“Our Country no longer has Borders, has totally and completely lost control of Covid (record numbers!), is no longer Energy Independent, Inflation is rampant, our Military is in chaos, and our exit, or surrender, from Afghanistan was perhaps the most embarrassing day in the long and distinguished history of the United States—and so much more,” Trump said.

Trump explained Democrats “want to own this day” in order to “stoke fears and divide America.”

“I say, let them have it,” Trump said, stating that “America sees through” their words and actions.

Kamala Harris, on the other hand, addressed the nation by comparing the events of January 6th to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 terror attacks.

Harris achieved the lowest approval rating for any vice president in U.S. history at just 28 percent, according to USA Today. Business Insider confirmed this is a “historic low for any modern vice president.”

When 353 Japanese kamikaze planes attacked Pearl Harbor, 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded.

When militant Islamists hi-jacked planes on Sept. 11th, there were 2,977 fatalities and over 25,000 injuries.

On January 6th, a total of five people died. An unarmed Trump supporter and 14-year U.S. military veteran, Ashli Babbitt, was shot and killed by police. One person died of a drug overdose. And three people died of natural causes.

In response to Harris, Donald Trump Jr. said “she’s clearly an idiot and the most out of touch politician up to and including crooked.”

On the one-year anniversary of January 6th, Harris began, “Certain dates echo throughout history. Including dates that instantly remind all who have lived them where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault.”

“Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendar but a place in our collective memory. Dec. 7, 1941, Sept. 11, 2001, and Jan. 6, 2021,” she continued.

Harris said rioters were attacking “the institutions, the values, the ideals that generations of Americans have marched, picketed, and shed blood to establish and defend.”

“On Jan. 6 we all saw what our nation would look like if the forces who seek to dismantle our democracy are successful: the lawlessness, the violence, the chaos,” she continued.
