Chicago Democrat Offers the Dumbest Advice Ever to Stop Crime — Tells People to Blow Whistles, Move Toward Robbers

A Democrat in Chicago offered the dumbest advice ever to her constituents who continue to witness a deadly crime wave.

2021 was the deadliest year in Chicago in a quarter-century, according to The Hill.

While Chicago police confirmed the city witnessed 797 homicides in 2021, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Cook County medical examiner’s records showed 836 homicides for the city.

As a result of this unprecedented crime wave, Chicago Alderman Michele Smith told her constituents to wear whistles so they can blow while running towards armed robbers, should they witness a crime taking place.

An email from Smith explains how the “WhistleStop Program” works. The program was initially used in Lincoln Park in the 1970s, but it was abandoned.

Smith explained, “The WhistleStop program follows these rules… If you find yourself in a suspicious situation or witness a crime, blow your whistle.”

“If you hear a whistle, call the police, then move toward the source while blowing your own whistle,” the email explains.

She claims that blowing a whistle while moving towards the robber “forces the offender to flee, and helps the police pinpoint the location of the crime.”

Smith wants her constituents to be sure to get good whistles. “Something that can be really loud,” she notes. “Whistles that can be used in sports, camping safety, are the kind of whistles that we recommend people get,” Smith said.

Smith warns people to “cooperate” and “not resist” if they are the victim of a crime.

“And certainly don’t blow your whistle if someone has a gun pointed at your head,” Smith clarifies.

12 major U.S. cities, all of which are Democrat-led, broke annual homicide records in 2021.

The year 2020 was already a historically bloody year with the wave of violent “Black Lives Matter” riots, but those records were shattered in 2021.

Rochester Police Department Capt. Frank explained, “The community has to get fed up.” There were 71 homicides in Rochester, which broke its 30-year-old homicide record.

“We’re extremely frustrated. It has to stop. I mean, it’s worse than a war zone around here lately,” he added.

In addition to Rochester, there are 11 other cities including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Toledo, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Austin, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; St. Paul, Minnesota; Portland, Oregon; Tucson, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico.

All 12 cities are led by Democratic mayors.

Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney, who once told President Donald Trump to “go back to hell,” oversaw 521 homicides, which was more than New York City and Los Angeles.

New York City recorded 443 as of Dec. 5, ABC News reported, while Los Angeles recorded 352 as of Nov. 27.

“It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories. It’s just crazy. It’s just crazy and this needs to stop,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said.
