Battling a fury of negative publicity, unhinged actor Alec Baldwin appeared to chase after a reporter who was questioning him from a sidewalk in New York City.

Baldwin angrily raises his umbrella as he chases the reporter.

“Wait, Mr. Baldwin, I have to ask you, what brings you to New York City,” the reporter asked Baldwin as his wife, Hilaria.

Later in the clip, the reporter asks if he really didn’t pull the trigger when he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded the movie’s director on the movie set of “Rust.”

During a recent interview on ABC News, Baldwin says he did not pull the trigger. “I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them,” he said.

This encounter came just days after the left-wing political activist and Hollywood star did a sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News.

When asked whether he felt guilt over the incident that killed Halyna Hutchins, Baldwin said no.

“I mean, I honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself,” he explained.

“I cock the gun and I go, ‘Can you see that? Can you see that? Can you see that?’ And I let go of the hammer of the gun and the gun goes off,” said Baldwin.

Baldwin said that “the trigger wasn’t pulled,” adding, “I’m holding the gun where she told me to hold it, which ended up being aimed right below her armpit… I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them,” Baldwin said.

District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies confirmed that it is very possible for actor Alec Baldwin to be “criminally culpable” in Hutchins’ death depending on the final results of the investigation.

The district attorney responded, “Certain individuals may be criminally culpable for his/her actions and/or inactions on the set of Rust.”

“Everyone involved in the handling and use of firearms on the set had a duty to behave in a manner such that the safety of others was protected, and it appears that certain actions and inactions contributed to this outcome,” the attorney said.

Baldwin is also facing a lawsuit from the script supervisor for the unfinished film ‘Rust.’

In the court filing, Mamie Mitchell argues “Mr. Baldwin cannot hide” from responsibility for the fatal on-set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded the movie’s director.

Mitchell, who is represented by Gloria Allred, also sued Rust producers, Rust production companies, armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, and others.

“Mr. Baldwin cannot hide behind the Assistant Director to attempt to excuse the fact that he did not check the gun himself,” the suit reads.

Mitchell alleges that “Alec Baldwin intentionally, without just cause or excuse, cocked and fired the loaded gun even though the upcoming scene to be filmed did not call for the cocking and firing of the firearm.”
