District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies confirmed that it is very possible for actor Alec Baldwin to be “criminally culpable” in Hutchins’ death depending on the final results of the investigation.

This comment came after Baldwin did a sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News.

During the interview, Baldwin says he was told by sources connected to the investigation that it is “highly unlikely” that he will be criminally charged.

This statement was contradicted by the district attorney after Baldwin’s interview.

After the news surfaced, Baldwin completely deleted his Twitter account.

He has two official Twitter accounts, but the main account mysteriously went offline. Multiple outlets noticed the account was gone, including the NY Post, Deadline and Newsweek.

There are some discrepancies in Alec Baldwin’s story.

He claimed during his interview that he did not pull the trigger when he shot Halyna Hutchins. He also explained that he feels no guilt over what happened.

When asked whether he felt guilt over the incident that killed Halyna Hutchins, Baldwin said no. “I mean, I honest to God, if I felt that I was responsible, I might have killed myself,” he explained.

“I cock the gun and I go, ‘Can you see that? Can you see that? Can you see that?’ And I let go of the hammer of the gun and the gun goes off,” said Baldwin.

Baldwin said that “the trigger wasn’t pulled,” adding, “I’m holding the gun where she told me to hold it, which ended up being aimed right below her armpit.”

“I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them,” Baldwin said.

The district attorney responded, “Certain individuals may be criminally culpable for his/her actions and/or inactions on the set of Rust.”

“Everyone involved in the handling and use of firearms on the set had a duty to behave in a manner such that the safety of others was protected, and it appears that certain actions and inactions contributed to this outcome,” the attorney said.

Baldwin is also facing a lawsuit from the script supervisor for the unfinished film ‘Rust.’

In the court filing, Mamie Mitchell argues “Mr. Baldwin cannot hide” from responsibility for the fatal on-set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded the movie’s director.

Mitchell, who is represented by Gloria Allred, also sued Rust producers, Rust production companies, armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, and others.

“Mr. Baldwin cannot hide behind the Assistant Director to attempt to excuse the fact that he did not check the gun himself,” the suit reads.

Mitchell alleges that “Alec Baldwin intentionally, without just cause or excuse, cocked and fired the loaded gun even though the upcoming scene to be filmed did not call for the cocking and firing of the firearm.”

Mitchell “was standing next to Hutchins and within 4 feet (1.22 meters) of [Baldwin], and was stunned when he fired the gun inside the tiny church on Bonanza Creek Ranch on Oct. 21,” according to the Associated Press.

“Mr. Baldwin chose to play Russian roulette when he fired a gun without checking it, and without having the armorer do so in his presence,” the lawsuit concludes.

Shortly after the tragic shooting, Baldwin famously issued his first statements from the now-deleted Twitter account.

Baldwin tweeted at the time, “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.”

“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna,” he added.

Baldwin shot and killed Halyna Hutchins, who was a cinematographer on “Rust.” He also injured director Joel Souza.

“I’ve spoken to the sheriff’s department multiple times,” Baldwin said. “I don’t have anything to hide.”
