The left-wing media is accused of spreading more lies and “fake news”, according to President Donald Trump.
Liberal outlets claim his wife Melania Trump does not want to return to the White House if he decides to run again in 2024.
In September, CNN said they have a “source” that “Being first lady again is not what [Melania Trump] wants.”
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asked, “Is it true that the former first lady, Melania Trump, has told you ‘I’m not going back if you run again’?”
“No, that’s not true,” Trump responded directly.
“That’s an interesting one. More fake news,” he laughed, then adding: “No, that’s not true.”
“She was a great first lady, she did a great job. She loves the people, they love her, I see how they love her,” Trump said.
“But no, I will say this: We have to fix our country. Our country is going bad. We’re not going to have a country if we keep doing this.”
“You’re not going to see her at rallies or campaign events, even if he ‘officially’ says he’s running again,” a source reportedly told CNN.
“Instead it’s going to be Lara (Trump, the wife of Trump’s son, Eric) or (Kimberly) Guilfoyle (the girlfriend of Trump’s eldest son, Don). They have that same urge Trump has to (run) again; Melania absolutely does not,” CNN claimed.
Trump has also revealed when he intends to formally announce whether he’ll run for president in 2024.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News, Trump said he will “probably” wait until after the 2022 midterm elections.
“I am certainly thinking about it and we’ll see,” Trump said. “I think a lot of people will be very happy, frankly, with the decision, and probably will announce that after the midterms.”
Back in September, Trump was also asked abou this 2024 plans. “I don’t think we’re going to have a choice,” Trump said in September. “It is getting to a point where we really have no choice.”
Waiting until after the midterm elections is “probably appropriate” for a timeline, Trump explained.
“It doesn’t mean I will,” Trump said of whether he will stick to that timeline. “It’s probably appropriate, but a lot of people are waiting for that decision to be made. A lot of great people who are thinking about running are waiting for that decision, because they’re not going to run if I run,” Trump said.
“We have a lot, they’re all very well named,” Trump said of presidential hopefuls in the GOP. “But almost all of them said if I run, they’ll never run. And that’s nice, primarily because it shows a great degree of loyalty and respect.”

As for a potential running mate, Trump said there are “a lot of great people in the Republican Party.”
When asked whether he would consider Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Trump said: “He’s a good man, but we have a lot of great people. He’s been good.”
Addressing whether he would consider former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, the former president said that she “every once in a while goes off the rails, and she comes back, which is nice.”
“She said she’d never run if I ran, which I think is a good sign of respect,” Trump said. “I was very good to her, I thought she did a very good job at what she did with the United Nations. She did an excellent job.”
But he added: “But we have, there are so many people that are really good that would be great for that.”
“So, you know, it’s very early to be talking about it,” he said.
