The prosecutor in the trial for Ghislaine Maxwell has openly told jurors, “She knew exactly what she was doing.”

This statement from assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Pomerantz directly contradicts suggestions by others, such as Bloomberg media.

Bloomberg published an article that suggests Ghislaine Maxwell may be a victim herself.

Without evidence or any factual basis, Bloomberg suggested that she might have been an Epstein victim. The outlet writes, “Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial is set to be one of the biggest of the #MeToo era.”

“But the jury may have to grapple with a unique question: is Maxwell herself a victim?” Bloomberg writes.

Maxwell faces trial for her alleged role in the inner circle of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s underage sex trafficking ring. The heinous accusations against Maxwell include child sex trafficking.

Here’s a look at the article and official social media post:

The prosecutor’s statement suggests that Epstein’s co-conspirators should be on notice.

Michael Bloomberg, who has a net worth of roughly $70 billion,is the majority owner and co-founder of Bloomberg L.P. He was also the former mayor of New York City and former 2020 Democratic nomination for president.

Bloomberg is accused of having a connection to Jeffrey Epstein. The pair was photographed together, which has now gone viral.

The prosecutor said, “For a decade, the defendant played an essential role in this scheme.”

“She was dangerous,” Pomerantz said. “She was setting young girls up to be molested by a predator.

“That’s what we expect the evidence will show. She was in on it from the start.”

More from Western Journal:

The trial for Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend and alleged partner in his heinous crimes, began Monday in New York City.

From the start, prosecutors came out swinging at Maxwell, who faces charges that include child sex trafficking.

“She knew exactly what she was doing,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Pomerantz told jurors in Manhattan federal court, according to the New York Post.

“For a decade, the defendant played an essential role in this scheme. … She was dangerous,” Pomerantz said. “She was setting young girls up to be molested by a predator.

“That’s what we expect the evidence will show. She was in on it from the start.”

Ahead of the trial, establishment media outlets tried to push narratives that would soften the public view of Maxwell.

Many Twitter users pointed out that Bloomberg’s co-founder, Michael Bloomberg, might have personal motivations for painting Maxwell in a more positive light. The businessman has been photographed alongside Maxwell in the past.

Bloomberg is not the only member of the elite class with connections to Epstein and/or Maxwell. According to The New York Times, many powerful individuals — including Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Prince Andrew — were acquainted with Epstein.
