Moderate Democrat Tulsi Gabbard is talking sense into leftists who have rushed to conclusions in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.

The trial has been heavily politicized since three nights of violent riots erupted in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“The prosecutor in the Rittenhouse trial clearly didn’t do due diligence before making the decision to prosecute,” said Gabbard.

“This tragedy never would have happened if the government carried out its responsibilities to protect the safety, lives and property of innocent people.”

Several witnesses have reportedly testified that Rittenhouse fired his gun only after being pursued.

One prosecution witness even admitted that Rittenhouse shot him only after he had pointed a gun at the minor.

Rittenhouse is currently charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide as well as other charges in the aftermath of riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Rittenhouse, who is 18 years old now, says he was defending himself from violent protesters during the riots.

Left-wing celebrities, such as LeBron James, has been outspoken in their support of “Black Lives Matter” as well as their vocal criticism of Rittenhouse.

The riots occurred after a police officer shot 29-year-old Jacob Blake. Blake was armed with a knife and ignored orders from law enforcement. Blake had a warrant for his arrest for charges of third-degree sexual assault and other charges.

Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard blamed the police and local government for not protecting citizens on the night Kyle Rittenhouse allegedly shot two rioters in self-defense.

17-year-old Rittenhouse traveled up from Antioch, Illinois to Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was going to aid a local business owner in defending his car dealership that suffered $1.5 million in damages.

Local law enforcement is accused of failing to protect people’s property.
