You know things are bad when even CNN can’t defend Biden.
As the devastating crisis unravels in Afghanistan, Joe Biden has put his incompetence on full display for the world to see.
A majority of Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, according to a new poll.
69 percent of polled Americans disapprove of Biden’s handling of the U.S.’s military presence in Afghanistan. Only 23 percent approve of Biden’s handling.
Now even CNN is beginning to take note.
“CNN has turned on Joe Biden,” Kyle Becker writes at Becker News.
CNN aired a segment that “dissected every broken promise on Afghanistan made by Biden on the campaign trail and during his presidency.”
CNN’s Brianna Keilar says, “Many of the promises and the predictions and the words of the president and his White House are coming back to haunt them.”
Here are some of the broken promises:
July 8th, REPORTER: “Is a Taliban takeover of Afghanistan now inevitable?”
Biden: “No, it is not.”
REPORTER: “Why?”
Biden:“Because you have the Afghan troops at 300,000 well-equipped, as well equipped as any army in the world, and an air force against something like 75,000 Taliban. It is not inevitable. So the question now is, where do they go from here? That, the jury is still out, but the likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.”
Keilar interjected, “Well, they own the whole country now, the Taliban does,” Keilar remarked. “When Biden made those comments on July 8, just about a month ago, the Taliban had already started gaining ground in the country. Biden said for months that it was going to be up to Afghan leaders and security forces to maintain power.”
On July 2, Biden: “I think they have the capacity to be able to sustain the government. We can be value-added. But the Afghans are going to have to be able to do it themselves with the air force they have and which we’re helping them maintain.”
Keilar responded, “They absolutely were not, the Afghan security forces able to sustain that. Afghanistan fell within days. And in Kabul, the Taliban met little resistance. President Ashraf Ghani had already fled the country by the time the Taliban marched into the streets of Kabul. Secretary of State Antony Blinken conceding the administration was unprepared.”
In another clip, Biden’s Secretary of State Tony Blinken says, “That the Taliban was at its greatest position of strength at any time since 2001, when it was last in charge of the country. That is the Taliban that we inherited. And so we saw that they were very much capable of going on the offensive and beginning to take back the country. And the fact of the matter is, we’ve seen that that force has been unable to defend the country. And that has happened more quickly than we anticipated.”
Keilar responded, “The Biden administration is now unable to articulate why the evacuation of its personnel and Afghan allies was botched so badly after Biden himself had vowed a competent withdrawal.”
On April 14th, Biden: “We’ll not conduct a hasty rush to the exit. We’ll do it — we’ll do it responsibly, deliberately and safely. And we will do it in full coordination with our allies and partners, who now have more forces in Afghanistan than we do.”
Keilar responded, “Biden has mobilized additional U.S. troops to join the few thousand that are still in Afghanistan as the U.S. attempts hasty evacuations from Kabul’s airport, even as the Taliban controls neighboring areas. And one more recent promise that has been broken. That is the promise that this would not be similar to the fall of Saigon in 1975.”
Biden: “The Taliban is not the South — the North Vietnamese Army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you’re going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy of the United States from Afghanistan.”

Now a 98-page report from the Inspector General reveals alarming information about the Biden administration and events leading up to the catastrophe unfolding in Afghanistan.
The Biden administration’s failure to understand the movement of the Taliban and provide effective preparation with the Afghan government has had horrifying consequences.
U.S. troops have been under fire, at least twice, while at Kabul’s Karzai International Airport, the NY Post reports.
“Thousands of Afghans have been filmed desperately chasing after and clinging to a US Air Force plane as it taxied down the runway — with multiple people plunging to their deaths after the aircraft took off in the frantic attempt to flee the country after the Taliban takeover,” the report adds.
Trump has called on Biden to resign from office “in disgrace.”
“What Joe Biden has done with Afghanistan is legendary,” Trump said. “It will go down as one of the greatest defeats in American history!”
The Inspector General has released the Department of Defense’s quarterly Sentinel report on Operation Freedom.
It reveals four facts about the Biden administration’s intel prior to withdrawing U.S. forces:
1. The Biden administration knew that the Afghan forces were unlikely to succeed in slowing or stopping the Taliban’s advance.
2. The report shows that the Biden administration also knew the Taliban had its sights set on Kabul.
3. The Biden administration knew the Taliban was only engaged in political negotiations to seek legitimacy, but planned to increase its military offensive to take the country by force.
4. The report also warned that plans for Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport were likely insufficient due to a complicated agreement with Turkish forces.
