According to reports from the Daily Wire, President Trump took to Twitter to address the widespread COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump tweeted “we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself”.

Quickly after, he retweeted James Woods, a popular actor, and conservative advocate, who took to Twitter to express his concerns about 2020 Democratic hopeful, Joe Biden, for his lack of response about the COVID-19 crisis.

“We are in the middle of an international pandemic and the Democrats’ lead candidate has literally disappeared from the face of the earth,” Woods tweeted in a post promoted by Trump early Monday. “Is this a preview of how he would lead. It’s truly terrifying. ‘Joe!’ #WhereIsJoeBiden #JoeBiden #WuhanCoronaVirus.”

The tweet contained a clip from Joe Biden’s COVID-19 address.

“Thank you all. Thank you all for listening,” says Biden, who then stares at the camera for a moment until his wife walks up and surprises him with a hug. “Oh…Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Okay…,” says Biden before walking off camera.

As The Daily Wire’s Ashe Schow reported, Biden’s briefing lacked the candidate himself.

“Former Vice President Joe Biden gave his first shadow coronavirus briefing over the weekend, yet the candidate didn’t appear in the video,” Schow reports. “Instead, former White House Ebola Response Coordinator Ron Klain outlined what Biden would do if he were president during the coronavirus outbreak.”

More from Daily Wire:

To make things worse, as Schow notes, Klain only ended up highlighting that Biden would do “exactly what President Donald Trump is already doing.”

“First, Joe Biden would fix the testing fiasco,” Klain said in the Biden-less first shadow address. “Second, he would direct the FEMA or the U.S. military to set up emergency hospitals, 500-bed units that could be dropped on the parking lot, wherever they’re needed. Third, he would give the doctors and nurses the help that they need. That means protective gear so they can be safe as they treat coronavirus patients, and it means accelerating our work on cures and vaccines. And finally, because the coronavirus crisis is going to have huge impacts on our economy, people are going to need help. Joe Biden would make sure those people get the help they need to deal with their bills.”

As Schow details, Trump’s doing all of that and more, including pushing for an unprecedented emergency stimulus bill to help shore up the economy amid state-imposed lockdowns and massive economic uncertainty.

While Trump has taken a series of decisive moves to help curb the spread of coronavirus, he also made clear Sunday evening that he would not allow the response to end up causing more damage than the virus itself. “WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF. AT THE END OF THE 15 DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!” Trump tweeted Sunday.

Trump’s warning about the significant impact of the drastic measures taken by the nation — among the most seismic being shutdowns of “non-essential” businesses and “shelter in place” orders imposed by several states — is being echoed by one of the experts helping head up the federal response, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who cautioned on Sunday about the “unintended consequences” of “knock[ing] down” the economy and “disrupt[ing] infrastructure.”
