The royal family shared a photo of Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place.

The stone was placed in the King George VI Memorial Chapel with the inscription: George VI 1895-1952, Elizabeth 1900-2002, Elizabeth II 1926-2022, Philip 1921-2021 in this order.

Engraved in the stone is a Garter Star, symbolizing the oldest and most noble order of chivalry. They were all members of this organization.

About two dozen wreaths lay in the radius of the grave marking.

The stone can be seen by visitors from inside St George’s Chapel.
