Billionaire tech guru Elon Musk, who is the world’s richest person with a net worth of roughly $251 billion, offered an interesting answer about the “biggest threat to civilization.”
While others have warned about the problem of “overpopulation” with 7.9 billion people on the planet, Musks says the biggest threat is actually underpopulation.
“I can’t emphasize this enough: There are not enough people,” Musk said.
“One of the biggest risks to civilization is the low birth rate and the rapidly declining birth rate.”
Back in 2017, the publication New Scientist published an article about a “population bomb” going off in 2076 due to overpopulation.
Musk shot back at the time by saying, “The world’s population is accelerating towards collapse, but few seem to notice or care.”
“Real issue will [be] an aging & declining world population by 2050, *not* overpopulation,” he said.
“Demographics, stratified by age, will look like an upside down pyramid with many old people & fewer young.”
“And yet, so many people, including smart people, think that there are too many people in the world and think that the population is growing out of control. It’s completely the opposite. Please look at the numbers — if people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble, mark my words.”

Liberals have been furious lately about the fact that TIME Magazine chose Elon Musk as “Person of the Year.”
Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren immediately claimed that Musk is “freeloading off everyone else” and doesn’t “actually pay taxes.”
Let’s change the rigged tax code so The Person of the Year will actually pay taxes and stop freeloading off everyone else. https://t.co/jqQxL9Run6

“Stop projecting,” Musk fired back at Warren, including a link to a 2019 opinion piece calling out her false claims of Native American ancestry. “You remind me of when I was a kid and my friend’s angry Mom would just randomly yell at everyone for no reason,” added Musk. “Please don’t call the manager on me, Senator Karen.”
“And if you opened your eyes for 2 seconds, you would realize I will pay more taxes than any American in history this year.”
Musk, who is the world’s richest man with roughly $251 billion, is set to pay the most in taxes than any individual in history. Musk says he will pay about $11 billion in taxes.

Warren took things a step further by posting Musk’s image to Facebook with an advertisement that asks for political donations in order to help Democrats pass “a wealth tax.”
The advertisement, which is paid for by Warren Democrats Inc., says Musk is “whining like a baby.”
Again, Musk defended himself by explaining, “This is such a deeply messed up lie to the American people. She is the one freeloading off taxpayers, while I’m paying the largest amount of tax of any individual in history.”
“Is Senator Warren really someone we want as a US senator?” Musk asked.
Take a look:

MSNBC’s Joy Reid came to Warren’s defense by arguing that Elon Musk culturally appropriated his Karen insult from black people.
Musk continued to defense himself by calling out Reid for being a “lobbyist.”
