Biden Unveils ‘New’ COVID Measures, Including One Troubling Idea

The Biden administration has announced its “new” overly restrictive coronavirus-related policies, although not much of it is actually new.

The White House congratulates Biden’s “President’s leadership” for the current federal stockpile of masks and ventilators.

It also claims that FEMA is mobilized and sending in 1,000 troops to help with staffing shortages at hospitals.

However, one troubling idea is that Biden plans to distribute 500 million rapid tests to American households.

Just two weeks ago, the White House said sending out at-home tests was expensive and wasteful of resources.

This flip-flop doesn’t come as a major surprise given the Democrats’ long history of hypocrisy and failed predictions when it comes to coronavirus.

Ironically, Biden had it right the first time around. It is extremely wasteful to send out tests to random people, many of which won’t even be administered properly, and likely most of which will end up in the trash. And while the claim will be that this is to help end the pandemic, obsessing over case numbers will do the opposite. What exactly is the thought here? That more people know they have COVID and self-isolate? But countries around the world that have harsh quarantine measures and lockdowns in place are still seeing exploding cases. Clearly, isolating people is not stopping the virus at this point.

Dr. Anthony Fauci also marketed Biden’s new plan for winter. Appearing on CNN, Fauci said, “Well, we got to do better,” adding that vaccinated Americans still need to be wearing masks and taking coronavirus tests.

“We have got to realize that it is more than just getting the vaccination,” he said. “Vaccination is an absolutely essential part of this process. But there are other things. And that’s the reason why we stress the idea about masking and testing,” he said.

“Even though they are vaccinated and boosted, they may want to go that extra step, that extra mile to know that, when we have people coming into the home, where they are going someplace, that you can know in 15 minutes whether or not you’re positive,” Fauci said.

“People think that vaccine is the answer to everything,” Fauci said.

“We can do a lot more with other things, and testing, for example, both yourself and your family when you’re getting ready to do something, go out into the community, or when you’re going to have people over your own house,” he said. “With Omicron that we’re dealing with, it is going to be a tough few weeks to months as we get deeper into the winter,” he added.

Fauci emphasized that wear masks and testing is “part of the president’s winter plan.” Even if the 50 million remaining Americans who are eligible for vaccination receive the drug, Fauci admits things wouldn’t end there. Masking and testing, he added, is still crucial.

The Biden White House recently issued an excessively dark and overblown warning to unvaccinated Americans. “For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm,” Biden claims.

Biden added, “If you’re vaccinated, and you have your booster shot, you’re protected from severe illness and death.” This dramatic warning comes has cases of the omicron variant have surfaced in the U.S.

Biden said, “Omicron has not yet spread as fast as it would have otherwise done. But it’s here now, and it’s spreading, and it’s going to increase.”

“We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated – for themselves, their families and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm,” he said. Biden told vaccinated Americans that “you’ve done the right thing and we will get through this.”

“We are intent on not letting omicron disrupt work and school for the vaccinated,” he added.

Critics immediately slammed Biden’s comment.

One person responded, “Unvaccinated Americans are not going to be persuaded by messaging like this.”

“Grim Reaper In White House,” another person said.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said, “President Biden’s warning of a ‘winter of severe illness and death’ makes President Jimmy Carter’s ‘malaise’ speech urging Americans to lower expectations seem a cheerful upper by contrast.”

“How do Democrats run as the party of ‘severe illness and death’? This is madness,” Gingrich added.
