The Biden administration is finally under investigation by the State Department.

The U.S. inspector general has launched “a series of investigations” into Biden’s pullout from Afghanistan.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken released a memo last week that said the investigations will focus on “the emergency evacuation of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul ‘to include evacuation of U.S. citizens and Afghan nationals.’”

The memo also mentioned investigations into “the State Department’s Special Immigrant Visa program, Afghans processed for refugee admission into the U.S., and resettlement of those refugees and visa recipients”

The memo was obtained and verified by Politico.

State OIG spokesperson Ryan Holden attempted to downplay the news, Daily Wire notes.

Holden says these are merely “reviews” and not “investigations.”

However, as Politico specifically reported, the actions are “investigations” and it is inaccurate to call them “reviews.”

“State OIG notified its committees of jurisdiction today of planned projects in the areas you mention,” Holden said. “This work will be conducted in coordination with other members of the IG community.

More from Daily Wire:

The report said that inspectors general from other departments were likely to launch investigations into the chaotic events that unfolded under Democrat President Joe Biden’s leadership.

The report added:

The Pentagon’s IG recently announced three reviews related to the evacuation: an evaluation of the botched drone strike in Kabul that killed 10 civilians instead of the Islamic State target; a review of DoD’s screening process for displaced Afghans; and an audit of DoD support for the relocation of Afghan nationals.

Biden has faced intense backlash over his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, including accusations that he lied to the American people. Biden has also seen his poll numbers crater down as low as the mid-30s in the weeks following the debacle.
