Hollywood’s Susan Sarandon continues her left-wing activism.

Most recently, the 74-year-old Oscar winner was spotted protesting outside the office of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York.

The Independent obtained a video of the crowd and Sarandon showed her disappointment in AOC and “the squad.”

“I’m here to say to the squad, and especially AOC, who, you know did make a lot of promises, that we still have faith in you and we would like to see if you have a better plan than we’ve been able to see, please share it,” Sarandon said.

She added, “If there’s a pathway you’ve got that we’re not aware of please share it. Because we’re losing hope here that you represent us.”

“It’s so difficult for people that are independent to get elected in the first place — and then to see the very people that sponsored the bill not stand up for it, is very disheartening,” she concluded.

Fox News reported on the protest:

The protest was advertised as a Medicare-for-all rally and sought to bring attention to the need for “Biden to declare a pandemic public health emergency and expand Medicare to every American using Section 1881A of the Social Security Act”… The protesters demanded AOC and others “use every legislative tool available to pass Medicare-for-all in Congress, including withholding and leveraging your votes to demand single-payer as a condition for passing legislation,” per their website.

They also want politicians to “use your huge social media followings, ability to get press, and celebrity to organize direct actions for Medicare-for-all.”

“So many of these progressive candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran on being activists fighting for change. It’s time for them to leverage that power to help call on the people to come out and pressure Congress to do the right thing for once,” the event organizers pointed out… “You campaigned on Medicare-for-all. But you didn’t demand a floor vote on it when you had the power to leverage the Speaker vote. You didn’t demand that single-payer be included in the pandemic recovery bill,” the petition explained.

TRENDING 👇 Biden Offering Money to Americans Who Get Vaccinated

The Biden administration appears to be desperate.

Biden asked state and local governments to use funds from his $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan to offer $100 payments to individuals in order to incentivize coronavirus vaccinations, The Hill reports.

The Treasury Department said, “Treasury stands ready to give technical assistance to state and local governments so that they may use the funds effectively to support increased vaccination in their communities, and Treasury will partner with the Department of Health and Human Services throughout this effort.”

Biden said at the White House, “I know that paying people to get vaccinated might sound unfair to folks that have gotten vaccinated already but here’s the deal: if incentives help us beat this virus, I believe we should use them…. We all benefit if we can get more people vaccinated,” Biden added.

More from The Hill:

The $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief law, which Biden signed in March, included $350 billion in funding to assist state, territorial and local governments in battling the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic… The Treasury Department clarified in May that governments that receive funds could use them for vaccine incentive programs. Several states and private businesses have already offered vaccine incentives in the form of lotteries and free food and other goods.

The announcement represents the latest strategy by the Biden administration to incentivize vaccines amid the spread of the more contagious delta variant… Almost 70 percent of U.S. adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, but vaccination rates have leveled off in recent weeks, and the percentage of people who are vaccinated in some areas of the country remains low.
