‘Because We Said So’: White House’s Answer on New Mask Guidance Tells You Everything — Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson issued a serious warning to Americans.

“Strong regimes are a lot like strong people,” Carlson writes in an opinion piece on Fox News. “Weak leaders live in terror. They lie constantly.”

Carlson argues the White House’s latest response to new mask guidance “tells you everything” that you need to know.

“According to an announcement by the CDC this afternoon,” Carlson writes, “the administration will force masks on adults as well – including on people who’ve already been vaccinated.”

He continued, “Pause to consider this for a moment. Americans were promised that if they took the vaccines, they could have their lives back.”

In response, the White House released a statement saying that “public health leaders in our administration have made the determination.”

Carlson argues that the new mask mandates are based on the fact that the Biden administration and public health leaders simply “said so.”

“In other words, because we said so,” Carlson concludes.

Here’s what he writes in closing:

That’s the medical justification for suffocating your third grader with a paper mask forever. “Public health leaders in the administration have made the determination.” They issue the rule, without explaining it. You then obey it. If you question it, CNN calls you a murderer. That’s how our government works.

Watching that exchange, you realize that every moment in time is just a point on a continuum. That’s worth remembering now. It’s easy to assume that because this is all happening live at the White House, it’s the way things are and will always be. But in fact, a moment this absurd can’t last for long. It’s too irrational. The people making the decisions are too discredited, too transparently unwise. What you’re watching is a decaying system based on presumed expertise finally reach its ugly end-stage. At some point, it will be gone, because it has no legitimacy.

WONDER WHAT HE’D THINK ABOUT 1/3 OF🇺🇸RIPPING FREEDOM FROM BLK,BROWN,OLD,POOR.” She continued, “GOP KNOW THEY CANT WIN DEMOCRATIC WAY SO THEY’LL DO IT BY WHITE DOMINANCE”‼️INSTEAD OF IDEAS THEY HAVE HATE.trump WILL KILL🇺🇸IF WE DONT VOTE IN’22.”

Cher also shared a video from the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. The caption on the video reads: “THIS IS WHAT TREASON LOOKS LIKE.”
