Days Are Numbered: Nancy Pelosi’s Position as Speaker of the House May Soon Be Over — Here’s Why

Are Nancy Pelosi’s days in power numbered?

Fox News’ Miranda Devine thinks so.

Pelosi “used to point her angry finger at Donald Trump,” Devine writes, “but she leaves him in the dust when it comes to busting norms, dividing Congress and causing mayhem.”

Pelosi is accused of causing “hyper-partisanship” in Washington as House speaker.

Further, Pelosi is accused of abusing her power in ways that once were unthinkable.

Most recently, Pelosi shares her own culpability in the events of Jan. 6.

Devine writes, “Most obviously, what was her [Pelosi’s] reason for leaving the Capitol Police outnumbered and unprotected?”

Congressman Jim Banks of Indiana said, “Nancy Pelosi is not interested in an investigation. She’s only interested in a narrative.”

Bank continued, “Once you go up to the top of the flagpole of who is in charge of the Capitol Police … Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the House, has more control and authority and responsibility over the leadership of the Capitol Police than anyone else in the United States Capitol.”

“So, she doesn’t want us to ask these questions because at the end of the day, she is ultimately responsible for the breakdown of security at the Capitol that happened on January 6th,” he concluded.

Pelosi abuses her power in ways that once were unthinkable. Her speakership has been the antithesis of Lincoln’s entreaty to “the better angels of our nature.” Everyone in Congress — and, by extension, the nation — has been sullied by the spite and vitriol she has injected into the political sphere. There is no grace or Christian charity, just the barren wasteland of the zero-sum game, power for power’s sake.

It’s made all the worse by her increasingly frantic claims to be a “devout Catholic.”

The fact that all this venom is packaged in the shape of a small, elderly, expensively shod woman has bestowed upon her an element of deference her actions do not deserve. But last week there were a couple of signs that she’s finally worn out her welcome.

Hannity went off on Fauci over new mask mandates.

Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested that bringing back mask mandates is “under active consideration” and that he is “part of the discussion” around the decision. Sean Hannity quickly fired back at Fauci: “Two months ago, it was Joe Biden who proudly declared a policy of ‘vax or mask.'”

Hannity continued, “Well, now the CDC is considering a revised new, new, new policy of vaccination and a mask. How many more mixed messages will the American people be given? One mask, two masks, no mask, some mass, mask indoors and mask outdoors and maybe mask in perpetuity and now it is never mind what we said before?” Hannity asked.

“And remember,” Hannity said, “according to Democrats, the media mob and the great flip-flop Dr. Anthony Fauci, well, life is supposed to return to normal for vaccinated Americans. That’s what they told us. How is this following the science everyone was supposed to follow?” Hannity emphasized. “Are we supposed to ignore the science?”
