49 Shot, 5 Dead, In Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago During This Fathers Day Weekend

54 people have been shot over Father’s day weekend and a woman was also stabbed, according to ABC 7.

Chicago crime rate seems to have been on an uptick since the demand for “defunding the police.”

A man was fatally shot while driving, according to reports.

The man driving the vehicle was 21-years-old.

Police said the victim was shot in the head.

A passenger of the vehicle then drove him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to reports, only an hour earlier a woman was shot in Bucktown.

On Saturday another shooting took place at Humbolt par.

A couple was allegedly ambushed and fired upon. The male was rushed to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. The Hospital pronounced he was dead.

The 25-year-old woman was shot in the neck and was rushed to Stroger Hospital and has been placed in critical condition.

Another lady was shot and killed.

A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed.

Chicago police say that they were shot by a male from an unknown distance.

The crime rate in Chicago seems to be going nowhere but up, according to reports.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and another man, 21, suffered a gunshot wound to the right arm, police said. Both men were transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where their conditions were stabilized.

A third man, 22, was struck in the leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his condition was also stabilized, police said.

Last weekend, three people were killed and 43 others wounded in incidents of gun violence across Chicago.
