Liz Cheney went off on Trump in response to a brief statement regarding the 2020 election, according to The Daily Wire.

Trump said that the 2020 election, “from this day forth” will be “known as THE BIG LIE!”

Cheney said, “The 2020 presidential election was not stolen.”

“Anyone who claims it was is spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system.”

Jim Banks stated, “That’s what we got out of Liz Cheney, which doesn’t help us remain focused on that single goal.”

“Her lack of focus on that, while being focused on other things, and proving her point, was an unwelcome distraction.”

“The sort of sideline distractions at the GOP retreat will only serve to hold us back from being focused on that nearly unanimous goal we have as a conference.”

Donald Trump Jr. said, “‘Republican’ warmonger Liz Cheney gives Sleepy Joe a fist bump after he delivered a radical socialist vision for the future of America.”

“So glad she’s in the GOP leadership, I guess they wanted to be more inclusive and put Democrats in there too?!?”

Trump stated, “Liz Cheney is polling sooo low in Wyoming, and has sooo little support, even from the Wyoming Republican Party, that she is looking for a way out of her Congressional race.”

“Based on all polling, there is no way she can win. She’ll either be yet another lobbyist or maybe embarrass her family by running for President, in order to save face.”

“This warmongering fool wants to stay in the Middle East and Afghanistan for another 19 years, but doesn’t consider the big picture—Russia and China!”

From The Daily Wire:

Over the past several months, Cheney has seemingly focused more on attacking her own party instead of focusing on opposing Democrat President Joe Biden’s far-left agenda. Cheney even refused in a recent interview to rule out running for president in 2024, which was met with widespread mockery.

Calls have started to grow to remove Cheney from GOP leadership, where she currently has the No. 3 spot in House GOP leadership. Even House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke out against Cheney, saying that her not being a team player was creating “difficulties.”

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), chairman of the Republican Study Committee, slammed Cheney’s remarks at the GOP retreat in Orlando, Florida, last week, saying that she was not focused on what mattered because she was focused on attacking Trump.

A separate report from Punchbowl News said that her relationship with McCarthy and other Republican leaders was deteriorating and Republican lawmakers were being asked about her feud with Trump back in their districts. Republicans were also complaining about her running the messaging for House Republicans given the fact that fewer and fewer people agree with what she is saying.

Cheney also took heat for her decision to rush to greet Biden during Biden’s address to Congress last week.

Former President Trump responded to Cheney’s shots at him during the GOP retreat by saying that he thinks that she knows she will have a hard time getting re-elected in Wyoming.
