Six world powers are in a nuclear agreement, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China and Iran.

The U.S. was part of this agreement until Trump removed the U.S. from the agreement and accused Iran of violating the agreement in 2018.

Acting U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills sent a letter on behalf of President Biden stating that sanctions terminated in 2015 “remain terminated.”

The agreement is known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA.
