BREAKING: Mayor Facing Legal Issues Following DUI — Reportedly Fell Asleep Behind The Wheel At White Castle Drive-Thru

Kentucky Mayor Beverly Chester-Burton was arrested for DUI after she fell asleep in a White Castle drive-thru, according to Fox News.

Louisville Metro Police officers found Chester-Burton standing outside her silver Cadillac after she smashed into a pole trying to exit the parking lot.

Witnesses say that Chester-Burton fell asleep at the wheel and they even had to knock on her window to wake her.

It was reported that she reeked of alcohol and she failed her sobriety test.

Chester-Burton told police officers she had two apple martinis at 5 pm but then changed her story and said it was at 9 pm.

The mayor was booked into Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and released Wednesday. She’s set to be arraigned on Friday.
