Trump: Biden Called Me ‘Xenophobic’ For China Travel Ban

Benny Johnson, the Chief Creative Officer of Turning Point USA, wrote to Twitter, “President Trump points out that he was called ‘Xenophobic’ by Joe Biden” for restricting travel with China,.

Trump adds that he was called “racist” by Democrats for the same reason.

As we previously reported at AnalyzingAmerica, Trump announced a ban on flights from China on Jan. 31. Trump was denounced by leading Democrats for this decision. In particular, on the very next day, presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden declared, “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia — hysterical xenophobia — and fearmongering.”

President Trump’s action against China was not only called “hysterical xenophobia,” Biden also called it “fearmongering.” This clearly indicates that the 2020 Democratic frontrunner would not have implemented the China travel ban as Trump decided.

Biden was not alone. On Feb. 2, the American Civil Liberties Union announced, “These measures are extraordinary incursions on liberty and fly in the face of considerable evidence that travel bans and quarantines can do more harm than good.”

President Trump argues that he acted early and took the “biggest” action possible by implementing the travel restriction.

Trump adds that he was in a “very small group” of people who believed this was the correct decision. Even people in the White House, Trump says, disagreed strongly with his decision to restrict travel.
