Ilhan Omar Laughs & Jokes Around During Presser On American Deaths In Iraq

On Wednesday, Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was joined by her Democratic colleagues for a press conference to discuss the congressional use of military force and the American casualties of the Iraq War.
People noticed Ilhan Omar joking and laughing as her colleague discussed U.S. casualties in Iraq.
“I’m very glad to say that I was part of the 132 and also the vote for [Rep.] Barbara Lee’s amendment, but I think that the point of that is that that is the same war that we’re dealing with today,” Jackson Lee said behind the podium, BizPac Review reports, before noting more than 4,400 American troops died during this conflict.

“We never solved any problems with AUMF [the Authorization for Use of Military Force], we left four thousand plus, maybe even forty-four hundred dead, and over sixty thousand who came back injured in some form and the war never ended,” she added.
While the congresswoman from Texas was making these comments, Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was seen laughing behind her, just over her right shoulder.
“Instead of listening keenly to Lee’s words, Rep. Ilhan Omar used her time to hobnob with her congressional pals, including fellow Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and laugh repeatedly over some joke,” BizPac Review reports.
As for an explanation to Omar’s actions, when she took to the podium, she claimed she had PTSD—post-traumatic stress disorder, often associated with military personnel who witness the realities and horrors of war.

First, she turned around to start what appeared to be a humorous conversation with Tlaib. Moments later, she turned to the colleague on her right to speak with her as well. Then she turned back to Tlaib. Throughout the whole ordeal, she smiled and giggled.
It’s unclear what the congresswoman found funny regarding the thousands who died or were injured during the Iraq War. Odder still is what the congresswoman chose to say when her time at the podium arrived.
“I feel ill a little bit because of everything that is taking place, and I think every time I hear conversations around war, I find myself being stricken with PTSD,” she claimed. “And I find peace knowing that I serve with great advocates for peace and people who have shown courage against war.”

Flabbergasted. One of the first things people are taught in school is how to be respectful when someone else is talking.
Apparently, Ilhan Omar missed that day. Check it out.
This is waaay worse than talking in a movie theater or being on your phone during a lecture. It’s almost on par with *cough, cough* watching golf during a congressional hearing. Not that we know any democrats who have done that…
Also, this is the same woman who insists “we are no more safer today than we were yesterday,” right after Trump killed the guy who killed 600+ Americans.
Apparently Trump also created all of Iran’s problems just so he could solve them. Huh?
