Pelosi Spotted at Swanky Restaurant After Ignoring Phone Call on Iran Attack

CORRECTION NOTICE: Pelosi did return a call to Pence shortly after opening the House for a new session. A previous version of this article stated Pelosi was “less interested” in the phone call, which has since been redacted following reports that Speaker Pelosi returned the phone call.

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a very busy woman with priorities, Iranian missiles hit American military bases in Iraq.
This attack was in retaliation for Trump’s successful airstrike that killed Iranian terror mastermind General Qasim Soleimani.
Iran claimed that there were 80 U.S. deaths but in reality, the United States reported no casualties.
This was a major escalation for Tehran since the missiles were launched from inside Iran and not from Iranian proxies.
Originally, Pelosi complained that congressional Democrats were not notified ahead of time of the action taken by President Trump.
So the White House tried to notify Pelosi directly when the Iranian missiles hit American bases, but she missed the phone call.
From Western Journalism:

The incident was reported by Politico’s Heather Caygle.
“In meeting tonight Speaker Pelosi was handed a note telling her VP Pence was on the phone,” Caygle tweeted.
“’Tell him I’ll call him back,’ she said according to sources in room, noting she had to go open the House for new session.
“Two minutes later, she was handed note about air base bombing.”
There’s no doubt the House speaker is a busy woman.
But for her to essentially ignore a phone call from the country’s vice president in the middle of an international crisis is odd, given the circumstances and the fact that she’s supposedly very tuned in to what’s happening in the Middle East.
She assured her Twitter followers, however, that she was on top of things.
