Nancy praised the media by raising a glass to the “guardians of democracy”, deeming them valuable and righteous to America.

She reassured the audience that they would get their work done in time to leave Washington for Christmas the following Friday.
Just before this event, Pelosi was busy hosting another event for members of Congress, another celebratory soirèè after announcing the articles of impeachment.
