The Washington Nationals fans were not happy to see President Trump, First Lady Melania, and several members of Congress who were put on the display screen during Game 5 of the World Series.

While Trump and the crew were not there to make any political statements—even declining to throw the opening pitch—they were booed when they were displayed on the screens. Fans also chanted, “Lock him up.”

Check it out:

Trump went up on the display screen after the third inning after the stadium recognized veterans in attendance, a regular practice.

And:

Here’s another:

“Trump appeared on a display screen at the Washington Nationals Park stadium between innings of the Game 5 match-up between the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros,” Reuters reports, adding, “there were boos and isolated ‘Lock him up’ chants when Trump appeared.”

The report notes the boos came on the heels of Trump announcing earlier in the day that a U.S. special forces unit killed the leader of ISIS.

Karma struck quickly for the Nationals fans.

The hometown team went on to lose the game in humiliating fashion by the visiting Houston Astros with a score of 7 to 1. This was the third loss in a row for the Nats who started the series 2 – 0. All three of the Nationals’ losses came at home. And, in 27 innings played, Washington’s team only scored 3 runs. One in Game 3, one in game 4, and one in game 5.

The Astros, now up 3 – 2, are one win away from being the World Series Champions.
