The 2020 presidential election is likely to be history in the making.
Perhaps even more historic than President Trump’s first election in 2016, voters now have a choice to affirm the man who has lifted the American stock market to unprecedented high after unprecedented high and has dropped its unemployment—across the board—from historic low to historic low.
Voters are offered a choice to keep Trump or rebuff and remove him from office.
The 2020 question—like the 2016 election—will represent a major ideological difference between President Trump and whoever will likely win the Democratic nomination.
While President Trump’s 2020 opponent is yet to be decided, the current frontrunners in the race, former Vice President Joe Biden and Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders each present their own versions of far-Left politics.
President Trump told thousands of Texas rally attendees that the upcoming election is going to be over the very soul of the country and for “the survival of American democracy itself,” USA Today reports.
“Don’t kid yourself,” the president referencing his Democratic opponents. “They are destroying this country, but we will never let it happen.”
USA Today continues:
The president peppered his speech with bracing claims that Democrats – “leftists, socialists, and globalists” – are trying to “overthrow the results” of the 2016 election. He called them “crazy” and “sick” and said he doesn’t believe they love their country.
While attacking the impeachment inquiry, Trump defended his July phone call with the president of Ukraine by saying he only wanted to see an investigation of corruption. He accused Biden and his son Hunter Biden over the latter’s business interests in Ukraine and China, though there is no evidence of wrongdoing.
The Texas fans were in as aggressive a mood as Trump, cheering as Trump assailed “Crazy Nancy” Pelosi, the House Speaker who authorized the impeachment inquiry; Hillary Clinton, whom he defeated in the 2016 election; the Bidens; the “fake news” media; and critics in general.
Despite overwhelmingly negative coverage from mainstream media, Trump’s presidential approval (43.1 percent) is currently higher than former President Obama’s was at this same point of the presidency (36 percent). Financial firm Moody’s Analytics also recently determined President Trump would win the 2020 election in a landslide.
